About us
We are a small outfit based in Scotland producing custom ordered, handwired tube (valve) amps. We aim to put well made, classic amps within the reach of mortal musicians, providing a quality product designed to not only sound great and look great but to last - with proper servicing - indefinitely.

Our philosophy
We take our inspiration (along with most other ampbuilders!) from the classic American and British amps of the 1950s and 1960s hoping to capture some of that vintage vibe and tone and put it within the reach of most musicians.
All of our amps use quality components (Carling switches, Neutrik jacks), steel chassis and US speakers.
All of our amps are handwired with care in Great Britain.
Repair work
We concentrate on building new amps but will undertake a limited amount of tube amp repair work. Please email us at thbcustomamps@gmail.com to discuss repairs to your equipment.
Models
We currently have two production models;
-the Reverb-o-luxe, our version of a 20 watt, blackface 1x12" combo and,
-the BM45, our version of the lauded 45 watt tweed 5F6-A.

We will soon be adding the 15E3 ('55-'60 15 watt tweed deluxe circuit) to our line of standard amps and will update the website accordingly.
We can recreate the circuit of pretty much any amp from the above period and supply appropriate cabinets and speakers to your specification. We entertain modifications to our amp circuits and will happily build an amp to customer specs, even if it's something that has not been available for 50 years. We can also provide matching reverb/trem units to partner any of our amps with matching tolex/tweed and grillecloth.
Additional options for our amps include;
-NOS tubes (where available),
-Speaker swaps (Weber, Eminence etc.),
-Fitted covers,
-A wide selection of tolex and grillecloth,
-Custom faceplates and name badges,
-Component swaps (paper in oil capacitors, WestLabs pots etc.).
